What I liked

I loved seeing the process of a working fine art photographer, and getting to ask questions about the business side of the industry. We did a lot of work on set, and it was fascinating to see her explain her vision for each image. She is an incredibly kind person, and is willing to answer any questions I had about any part of the photographic world including commercial and event photography.

What I wish was different

I would have liked to spend more time working in the studio printing and doing layout for exhibitions, but there were no big projects that Clarissa was working on at the time. I was fortunate to have a very flexible schedule to assist when shoots would come up short notice, but others may have trouble getting off of work with a week's notice.

Advice

Clarissa Bonet is a wealth of information about the Chicago photography world. She does work in commercial, event, and fine art photography, and understands the life of a working photographer. Clarissa also graduated from Columbia College and has experienced the transition from Columbia to the photographic world.
