I got to work on design projects that will actually be installed in the city (2 water mains). I also got to go out to construction sites and learn a little more about the construction process.
What I wish was different
Sometimes when we were asked to start a project, I was given very little initial information. It was hard to start because of this, but I just learned to ask a ton of questions.
Advice
Don’t be afraid to ask as many questions as you need.

What I liked
I loved the people I worked with, both students and staff. It was a very supportive work environment.

Advice
I worked this with a second job because it doesn’t go for the whole summer. I would recommend that otherwise you’ll have a lot of time over the summer where you aren’t making money.
