There's nothing really. Of course, I would say salary but everyone wants more money.

Be enthusiastic and ready to learn. Always ask for help when you need it as there are no wrong questions.

What I liked
I was able to do work that wasn't the typical "coffee internship," in that I had the opportunity to complete assignments that contributed to the office's tasks.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more interaction with the Office of the City Manager. My ideal job is to become a city manager, and it would have been interesting to see, in person, how that kind of office operates.
Advice
It helps to know the basic city organization walking in. This way, you know who to contact when you need assistance, and you will be able to easily identify the constraints that city governments have to work out.
