Marketing and Finanace Intern

May 2016 - August 2019 • Rexburg, ID

What I liked

There was a lot of variety in my daily expectations. I had opportunities to train and implement new things, and I felt like over time, I was able to play a larger role within the organization.

What I wish was different

City Government is tough because there is a certain level of resistance to change in my experience. Sometimes it felt like we were doing things a certain way just because that's how it had been done for the last 20 years.

Advice

Don't hesitate to apply and interview for positions that seem way out of your skill level. I felt very under qualified for this position, but I ended up learning a lot and becoming a valued memeber of the team.
