The ability to work from home regarding assignments that would benefit me as a candidate in the field. Even though COVID-19 allowed limited personal interaction, there was still tasks that could be done remotely.
What I wish was different
To be able to work within the facility to have one on one communication with other members of the department to discuss their role and the importance of the role they are currently holding.
Advice
Internships are always valuable as they give a sense of what your day-to-day work would be like once you are hired by an agency/company. It is also best to express your interest in the field such that tasks are catered to the needs of what you want to contribute within the career which can also lead to other avenues you may or may not be aware of.
