Mission
LADOT's mission is to lead transportation planning, project delivery, and operations in the City of Los Angeles. We work together and collaborate to deliver a safe, liveable, and well-run transportation system in the city and region.
LADOT's Operations focuses on managing the operation of city streets for motorists, transit, cyclists, pedestrians, and movement of goods.
This also includes:
Traffic signal operations (signal synchronization)
Neighborhood services through our district offices
Repair and maintenance of transportation infrastructure
Emergency preparedness and temporary traffic management for emergencies
Construction projects
Special events, among other things
