Advice
To anyone thinking about being a commissioner: you have to be willing to step outside the box. Even though it wasn't in my description, I created, distributed, collected, analyzed, and presented on a series of surveys among other students in my town. That allowed the city to incorporate student feedback into their decisions. Stepping outside the box and doing what you don't have to do is the best way to be a great commissioner. Oh, and you may want to study city documents closer than your textbook right before finals. To know what everyone's talking about, you need to do so.
