I loved my ability to help parents and church members by offering a worry-free way for them to enjoy the service. I also loved being able to teach the kids and see them flourish as they moved through the class levels as they got older.
What I wish was different
I wish the scheduling would have been clearer and more adhered to. Due to the circumstance of volunteers many times people would be late or not show leaving the other volunteers in limbo and unable to leave because kids were still in the classrooms.
Advice
This is a wonderful experience but remember nothing will go perfect. Sometimes the selected craft will go great but many times it is important to remember this is supposed to be fun so don't cause lots of stress when something goes not according to plan.
