The true hands on experience. I was in a high acting overseeing position that had to do with interacting with others, planning and executing. I was treated with authority and was able to create my own event and oversee all of the details. My supervisors and other coworkers empowered me to succeed. They were excited to work with me and see what I had to offer, that was very reassuring.
What I wish was different
I felt as though I lacked a lot of key marketing aspects. Would have maybe it rather been looked at as a managerial internship. But, I still learned a lot.
Advice
Just because of your age and/or lack of professional experience, do not discredit yourself. You have skills and ideas that can be very successful if you implement them. Working hard and having confidence in yourself is very important when starting out in the business world.
