I love this internship because it allowed me to shadow different types of pediatric physicians and talk with them about their own lives and listen to the advice they had to give from it. I also loved that I got to present at Grand Rounds in front of 100s of doctors about a topic that I learned about.
What I wish was different
I wish I could have spent more time in this internship because I would have loved to shadow even more departments.
Advice
The advice that I learned is that it is ok to not follow the traditional path into the medical field because so many different people have atypical stories on how they got where they are and they are still successful.
