Chipotle Mexican Grill

Cashier

February - August 2019 • Woodhaven, MI

What I liked

Crew was very fun to work with, management wasn’t uptight, yet very organized. We had fun while getting a lot of work done.

What I wish was different

Not very flexible with hours, and was required to work more hours than I could manage while in school. I tried my best to keep a work/school balance, but a lot of my free time was devoted to chipotle which created some stress.

Advice

Chipotle is a great place to work, and you stay quite busy. It can be stressful at times, but the crew makes it very fun. I did end up quitting, but that’s only because of the hours conflicting with my school schedule. If you can make it work, I recommend this job. Chipotle tuition reimbursement is also great!

Service Manager

June 2015 - August 2019 • Leesburg, VA

What I liked

I liked the people, I am a people person and am driven by customer service. The staff (my employees and co-managers were great) and the clientele were wonderful.

What I wish was different

The amount of staff/scheduling staff should have been much better. Lots of hard work for a few people when work could have been better distributed with the addition of even one more person on a given shift.

Advice

If you're going to work here, chase the opportunities to move up in the company (becoming a manager). Being a manager is well worth the hard work you put in as a crew member.

What I liked

The organization of the company was great. The other team members were also very nice!

What I wish was different

The managers were very unorganized. I wish there would have been more members hired. We were always running non stop and sometimes couldn't get a break since we were slammed and under staffed.

Advice

My managers were fired due to unprofessional behavior with other members hired. If you see something that makes you uncomfortable, make sure you report it right away.
