At Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, we are honored to care for children and families facing a wide range of health challenges. Our nurses provide holistic, family-centered care to every patient and family, whether they’re here for a single clinic visit or an extended hospital admission. We take pride in training new graduate nurses how to provide complex and compassionate care, leveraging both the art and science of nursing.
MEETING THE NEEDS OF NEW NURSES
At CHLA, we understand the needs of new graduates as they transition from nursing student to professional nurse. To meet those needs, we use the RN Residency in Pediatrics program, which provides the learning opportunities needed by new graduates to become successful pediatric nurses. Our one-year program provides new nursing school graduates with a comprehensive clinical and learning experience to prepare them for work in an acute care environment.
