I loved the ability to get hands on experience working with kids in different ways. We also learn different ways to work with our farm as well as our Hepatology program. The fully outdoor experience allowed for me to become more comfortable being outside and in being myself.
What I wish was different
Sometimes I wish the weather was a little bit cooler since it is outside but there's so many water activities that you get used to it.
Advice
The best way to go about a summer camp experience is just understanding that you are there to help kids have the best week but also have dun being yourself.

Take resting seriously. Working at Chestnut Ridge is a great experience, but if you sleep well you will be a better counselor for the youth and enjoy your time more.

What I liked
Being able to be in a place that I was working with children and being around co-workers who were like-minded. I also liked being active all the time and they had amazing food.
What I wish was different
More time off. You're with kids all the time. It could get annoying after awhile if you weren't prepared for kids being kids.
Advice
If you work there, there is a night were you camp under the stars (compared to sleeping in a cabin)) make sure you put your chocolate bars for s'mores in the cooler. They will melt
