The work environment is overall my favorite thing about CAM Partners! Everyone at the office is friendly and helpful. I learned a lot during my internship and got to work on many projects. My supervisor always gave me goals for the week to work towards, which helps you stay busy. I got to gain experience and was able to work on my writing and communication skills.

What I liked
Amazing and interactive work environment. Onboarding process was efficient and I was able to do a variety of HR-related tasks. In addition, my work felt valued and I could see firsthand the impact that I was having on the recruiting and hiring processes. My supervisor and CEO were amazing and inspiring people that had taught me a lot about HR within the three month span I was there. Amazing experience working with them overall.
What I wish was different
For the most part, the overall experience was fantastic, especially considering the circumstances of the ongoing pandemic.
Advice
Not just related to this experience but to other internships - ASK QUESTIONS. Just like you would learn in school by asking questions, you will ultimately have to do the same when dealing with some tasks. My supervisor and other company staff was really helpful to me and clarified concepts whenever needed.

What I liked
I have loveddd working at CAM Partners this summer! Everything is so hands-on, I have been learning a tremendous amount. I also love the people I work with; they treat everyone like family and encourage growth within the company. I'm not a coffee runner like how some interns are; I actually do hard work and I'm gaining real experience. They are so fun but also driven, it's been a great summer:)

Advice
You work hard and a full day, so be prepared. But I don't think any other job gives this much experience!

What I liked
The atmosphere and direction. There is never a moment I don't feel that I am working towards a goal or that I don't have a goal to reach. Whether that's writing copy or chasing after a potential new hire. However, what I love most is the people in the office, some of the most fun people to be able to work with and share work with.
What I wish was different
I wish I had a personal mentor. I feel that the family mentality and working with everyone can get a bit much at times and I would have appreciated just one singular mentor.
Advice
When you have a family at work you enjoy being around and a family at home it can be difficult to go home.
