I loved gaining experience with a non-profit as that is my intended field for my future career.
What I wish was different
I wish that I had been able to devote more time to my internship, but that was not possible during the limited schedule of a summer internship window. Had I participated in the internship during a semester, I feel I would have had more time to undertake additional independent projects.
Advice
Non-profit work increases your feelings of connectedness to your community, and I would recommend it to anyone!
