Change Healthcare

Software Engineer

April 2018 • Dubuque, IA

What I liked

Worked in small team, had lots of hands on experience with coding and creating metric reports for customers. Most people willing to help you out and answer questions you have.

What I wish was different

Could use some structural improvement. Only had weekly stand ups for a good while, tasks were assigned randomly at times, but structure is slowly improving.

Advice

Very good real-life experience. You interact with customers and colleagues, and perform coding and maintenance tasks to keep the app running with continuous improvements.

Client Success Intern

June - August 2019 • Alpharetta, GA

What I liked

I loved my experience at Change Healthcare. I had a very supportive team that was able to instruct me throughout my time there. They provided me with my own personal career interests and also some other projects that were out of my comfort zone.

What I wish was different

I wish I had a little more instruction on projects that I need to complete. But I understand that working in corporate america it is tough to tackle so many things at once. The one thing I loved and helped me in these situations were the intern seminars we had to attend (ex. time management and prioritization seminar, team building seminar).

Advice

I would encourage people to go out of their comfort zone and try new things. I would have never imagined myself doing any work within Data Analytics and actually liking it. I also was able to learn about the legal side of industries and how everything comes together as one.

Financial Audit Intern

June - August 2017 • Nashville, TN

What I liked

I immensely enjoyed my experience with Change Healthcare. Their corporate values and culture made work a pleasurable experience everyday. I was introduced to various roles and controls when auditing and it made me appreciate every step of the business. The internship was coordinated wonderfully with lunches with executives to give you advice and share their story. I also thoroughly enjoyed the food trucks that they would have for lunch sometime. Additionally, everyone wants you to succeed!
