What I liked
I loved that I could connect and work with the African American Community by providing resources in helping them through their drug and alcohol journey. It was empowering and uplifting to be a part of a program that catered to the direct needs of this community. By providing Afro-centric treatment, and having professionals that reflected the population was also very important. Clients felt heard, valued, and felt confident in their ability to be apart of this organization. They finally felt at home.
