Located in the northern-most part of Alabama, Athens is approximately equally distant from Birmingham, Alabama, and Nashville, Tennessee. Central Church of Christ has an average attendance of over 400 and is currently served by a Pulpit Minister, a Family Life Minister, a Youth minister, a Children’s Ministry Coordinator, and a part-time secretary, in addition to eight shepherds. Central is also involved in community out reach programs and mission work in Athens, Ghana, India, and Mexico.
