Behavioral Technician

June 2019 - August 2021 • Chelmsford, MA

What I liked

Coworkers were all wicked friendly and made me feel welcome from day one. There was almost always support available if I had a question or concern about a kid's program.

What I wish was different

There was a lot of turnover with other technicians, BCBAs, operational managers which made scheduling and other conflicts arise a lot more often than if there was consistent staff that stuck around longer than a few months.

Advice

In the training there is a lot of information thrown at you initially and it can be a lot to take in, but stick with the job and everything will make a lot more sense when you work one on one with a client and start using the principles of ABA everyday.
