One of my favourite aspects of working at CST is the people. Everyone i've worked with there has a passion for science and loves to share what they know. The internship is set up to be a learning experience, and the focus on my professional and intellectual growth helped to make this internship a wonderful experience.
What I wish was different
As the company grows, there have been increasing limits on the diversity of learning experiences provided to interns. However, new programmes aimed at counteracting this trend are being implemented.
Advice
If you're interested in anything from marketing to bioinformatics, this is a company worth applying to.

What I liked
I really benefitted from having an assigned mentor. I was able to quickly learn hands-on lab skills despite not having prior internship experience. I received a project for the summer that was meaningful and kept me engaged.
What I wish was different
The position did require a daily commute with a personal vehicle; having the ability to get to the office with public transportation would have been a great benefit.
