Advice

Don’t reject a potential job interview/position just because you have a current job, you never know what this other employer can offer and whether it’s the job in your career field. You lose more chances when you don’t try than when you do

What I liked

I learned so much about stem cells, cell culture, and fundamental protocols for DNA and protein work. I was a part of cutting edge research and I was able to sit in on vastly interesting lab meetings. I also was able to create an academic poster of my research and present it to fellow interns, PIs, and members of the scientific community.

What I wish was different

I wish that they had a way to connect you with housing accommodations. It was difficult to find a place to stay over the summer.

Advice

Take every opportunity they give you to sit in on meetings and try new experiments!
