I started this co-op with no construction experience and I ended the term with a good view of the construction process. I really liked everyone in the office, they were all very nice and willing to answer any questions I had.
What I wish was different
Since I did not have a lot of experience it was hard for my boss to give me a lot of work.
Advice
I wish I took more construction classes coming into this co-op because I would sit in some meetings and not know the managers were talking about.

Construction Engineering Intern
June - September 2018 • Seattle, WA
What I liked
Got to learn a ton about the construction industry and how buildings are actually built from the ground up at a nitty gritty, day to day level. Learned a ton about how the business of construction works and how money drives various decisions throughout a project.
What I wish was different
I wish i worked at a structural engineering company instead of a subcontractor to learn about design and analysis.
Advice
Set multiple alarms if have a hard time waking up before 5am.
