Ceca Foundation

Marketing and Communications Intern

June 2019 - February 2020 • Washington, DC

What I liked

I liked how accessible staff were—they explained/contextualized tasks very clearly, I felt comfortable asking questions, and I found it easy to learn about Ceca's overall operations and values. Staff were also willing to talk about careers in nonprofit work/communications and included me in team meetings, which I found helpful. I also worked remotely for part of my time there and I liked the flexible scheduling.

What I liked

The team was clear in explaining the purpose of the projects I worked on and their expectations. I appreciated the freedom and agency I had for completing projects. I also appreciate how prompt they were in giving feedback, guidance, and support throughout my time there. The team was understanding and accommodating as I transitioned to work remotly during the pandemic. Overall, they were a wonderful team to work with!
