What I liked

Nothing, this job almost made me rethink my career choice. Leaving was the best choice I ever made. I was able to land another position at a 40% increase in Hourly wages and the support internships are meant to provide. I stayed in my new internship for 18 months till when covid forced downsizing.

What I wish was different

There was no training at all. No support, no willingness to answer questions. Did not provide the information needed to correctly assign account transactions.

Advice

Don’t take this position unless you have prior knowledge of handling trust accounts, day trading accounts, online quickbooks, using general ledgers seemlessly. This is not an internship. It is a part time position doing full CPA work at minimum wage.
