What I liked
I really enjoyed interacting with the clients at our audits, and working in a collaborative environment with the team on site. I thought it was really cool to be exposed to various middle market companies across different industries. Also the family feel of the office was awesome, and very welcoming.
What I wish was different
More exposure to tax would have been nice, and I wish the depth of my work could have been a big larger. Additionally the HR office just hired on their first full time HR manager, so she was very busy and took a while to follow up with me post-internship.
Advice
For students, I strongly encourage you to work on growing your network organically by not saying no to opportunities, and always working on professional communication - it carries a lot of power throughout your life.
