What I liked

The people I worked with were wonderful, but not the general managers or the owners.

What I wish was different

I wish they actually valued all of the work they had us do. We were basically slaves and were not treated well. They say they will find host families for you but give me one of the worst situations I've ever been in. They threw me in a house the was covered in cat and dog feces and completely ignored my complaints. Oh did I forget to mention they never paid me?

Advice

I wouldn't waste your time with this terrible organization. They do not value you as a person but rather as cheap labor. It is always disorganized and the general managers will always make it your fault. Good luck getting paid for your 15 hour days also. Overall I wouldn't touch this organization with the 10 foot pole. If you want baseball or sports expirience, try the Cape Cod League or the the Coastal Plain League.

Baseball Operations Intern

May - June 2019 • Casper, WY

What I liked

I really liked this internship in the beginning. I accepted the position in October of 2018 and the GM at the time had great communication. He would call us once a week and give us things to do to keep us involved in the upcoming season. They fired him as the season approached and thats were it all went down hill.

What I wish was different

I would not recommend to anyone to work for this organization. The owners are very unorganized and cause unnecessary drama/ stress. When I sign the contract to work for the Horseheads I was to be paid. After a couple weeks in and not getting paid the owners, Chuck and Mayra, told us (the interns) that they could not make payroll and they would make up the pay. They also mentioned that if we could not stay they would understand. Being from Georgia I moved to Wyoming needing to make money and once I heard I didn’t have a pay check coming in I had to move back to GA. I still have not been compensated for the missed pay and I honestly don’t expect to see any of the money I am owed. Overall my experience with the Horseheads was one to forget.

Advice

Save yourself the stress and do not work for this organization.
