Overall, it was interesting to learn the advantages and disadvantages of working in a rural healthcare setting. I got to rotate in the different departments at the hospital so I could gain insight on what goes on a day-to-day basis.
What I wish was different
I think the overall experience was great. Everything was planned out by my professors and the healthcare professionals at the hospital so the internship ran smoothly.
Advice
It was a fun, eye-opening internship. There is a lot to learn there and it makes you think critically. It was definitely worth it!
