The opportunity to meet new people and be surrounded by amazing musicians! It was an awesome experience and exposed me to many areas of the music business with which I had not previously interacted. Also, the people at the Weill Music Institute in Carnegie Hall are wonderfully helpful and dedicated to their craft.
What I wish was different
I wish that the experience had been longer and encompassed more than just the NYO programs. I also would have liked to see the more creative parts of the process -- I was mostly involved in the implementation of ideas that were already formulated and agreed on.

Be sure to talk to everyone you work with and take advantage of the phenomenal opportunities for making connections!
