I liked meeting the members and creating good relationships. I also really enjoyed learning more about wine and providing a high level of service within the fine dining environment. Carmel has a great team of coworkers who are a blast to work with.
What I wish was different
The upper-level management can be condescending and disconnected at times. You also have to be comfortable taking responsibility for things that are not your fault, as you have to in any service job.
Any job in foodservice is late hours and hard work, but the payoffs can be very gratifying.
