What I liked

I loved the schedule. It had holidays off and no weekends. Also, I loved trying to find experiences for the kids to enjoy their summer.

What I wish was different

I did not bond as much as I was hoping with kids. I have been a nanny to two other families in the past and formed a great relationship with all those kids. I still keep in touch to this day. However, these kids were prone to be difficult and would act out a lot. That is the risk you get with being a nanny.

Advice

I would just say be cautious. I did meet the kids before agreeing to work but they were on their best behavior then. It’s hard sometimes to know what you are getting into but be as cautious as you can because a job is more than money.

I love working with children, and spending my Summer being active so it was an overall great experience and I had a lot of fun doing so many different activities with my nanny kids.

I struggled with keeping the kids under control at times, so I wish I had better discipline techniques.

Advice

I would advise others who are interested in nannying to be sure that they explore all options, and really get to know the family well.

Being able to do background checks through Care like the parents can on us so we can feel a little more safe as babysitters.

Always bring arts and crafts for the big kids and songs for toddlers and babies.

Try, try, try again on Care.com! It takes some hustle, but it is definitely worth it.

I wish that I was able to work immediately for the family but that didn’t happen.

Advice

Be open and understanding to all different family situations. And be confident in your knowledge of being a caretaker.

I loved working closely with the same family all summer. I could work 3 days a week for this family and still pick up other jobs the other 4 days of the week.

What I wish was different

I wish that I had applied for one other job to fill time on all weekends.

Advice

Care.com is great and you can find jobs that pay well. The jobs may be taxing but are great ways to network and build experience.

I Liked that I was Able to create a profile, they offered multiple services such as babysitting, date nights, even if you’re a tutor it’s fanilrx that need help with that . Also, i was able to include my background history, a picture and connect with families through their messenger and receiving my pay through this app .

Nothing. This app is perfect!

Go for it! Even if you’ve never done it before. Create a profile, be bold and stand out !
