The Capital Area Humane Society (CAHS) is a non-profit, charitable animal welfare organization founded in 1936 to ensure the responsible care and treatment of animals. Our mission is to promote the humane treatment of companion animals through protection, placement, education, and example. In 2015, we helped over 3,800 pets find their forever homes.
