I really enjoyed learning more about the different aspects of tax law. This internship allowed me to apply the things I've learned in the classroom in a real world setting. I also enjoyed playing an integral role in innovative projects at Canopy instead of fulfilling the classic "intern" role.
What I wish was different
I wish I had been more prepared to jump into a tech-startup environment. I think the "work-hard, play-hard", flexible environment takes a little bit to get used to coming from very formal setting in the classroom.
Advice
Always be on your toes! Things are always changing in a startup environment, so be ready to adjust and adapt if needed.
