What I liked

I loved my team. Everyone who chooses to work at CYY has a heart for helping others and chooses to give up their summer to serve children in need. That in itself is heartwarming to me and made every moment working there that much better. Plus, the kids are amazing.

What I wish was different

Advice

Be honest about your time availability and don't push yourself too hard. There's always something more to do but not enough time to do it.

What I liked

I loved that I gained professional experience in working with children with disabilities. This internship offered a whirlwind of unique experiences that are applicable to both everyday situations and future professional opportunities. I put countless hours and extreme effort into this internship, but the experience gained was very much worth it. It was exhausting, but very rewarding.
