Camp Woodland is a privately owned summer camp for boys and girls ages 5-16. Woodland first opened its doors at C.B. Smith Park in 1983.
Although the size of camp has grown, its original traditions and core values remain the same. Camp Woodland was founded by Susan Siler.
She opened it because of her enthusiasm and love for children and summer camp. Susan wanted to offer families the same joy and life-time memories “Camp Life” had brought to her.
These days Susan spends most of her time with her friends, family and two granddaughters. She can still be spotted at camp during Color War and other special events!
Susan’s daughter, Lori Anger, grew up at Camp Woodland. She along with Robert Bourne, are the current on-site directors.
Lori resides in Boynton Beach, FL with her husband, Mike, and two daughters (Ava and Emma). Ava was able to spend her first summer at Camp Woodland in 2014. “The incredible friendships and life-time memories is what makes Camp Woodland SO special,” according to Lori.
Robert Bourne has been a part of The Camp Woodland Family since 1996. He resides in Clover, S.C with his wife, Anna and and daughters (Lucia and Julianna).
Our Woodlanders experience is for boys and girls entering grades K-5.
Woodland Teen Camp is for boys and girls entering grades 6 – 9.
Leadership Training is for boys and girls entering grades 10 and up. This program is for boys and girls who demonstrate a sincere desire to work with campers as “counselors in training”.
Our goal is to offer your child a safe and fun place to spend this summer and many more to come. Campers, as well as, the staff return each year. All activities are included in the program. There are no additional fees for field trips or special events. We pride ourselves on small camper groups & an outstanding ratio of counselors to campers.
