What I liked

I loved getting to work with kids all summer and teach arts and crafts, which is one of my favorite things to do! I also made some really incredible friends at this job; spending 24/7 with my fellow counselors in a beautiful place that was pretty cut off from the rest of the word allowed us to build very strong bonds over the course of the summer.

Housing and food were provided. Made great friendships with my coworkers.

What I wish was different

The communication from directors to counselors was poor. Better communication and respect would have made working there a lot more enjoyable.

Advice

Make sure you are ok with staying away from home with little contact with family for the summer. You don't get very much time off.
