Interacting with ages 7-15, going on backpacks, and teaching kids tennis

I wish I could've stayed longer!

I would definitely recommend this camp to parents because it really helps kids grow in a fun way.

What I liked

I loved working with kids and being in a consistently positive work environment that celebrated being the best you can be. My bosses and supervisors were very open and ready to listen to anything you ha to say and were more than willing to give you more responsibility if you felt you could handle it. The atmosphere was amazingly helpful and supportive.

What I wish was different

I honestly wish I had received more compensation for my work, but I do understand that part of my "pay" comes from three, free square meals a day and living expenses for a three months.

Advice

Use this as an opportunity to be your very best self. My camp in particular provided help at every opportunity it could, using support staff, directors, and even other counselors as a way to make your life easier and provide you with more fun. Make as many friends and memories as possible, and don't worry about coming back home or missing out on things with your non-camp friends- you'll see them all the time during the rest of the year. Use this to bond with your new friends.
