I enjoyed the fact that I had the opportunity to pour into the lives of young individuals. I got to share Christ with so many different people and I was spiritually poured into as well. This experience has helped me to be a good leader in a younger demographic.
What I wish was different
One of the biggest things that I wish had been different is that there would have been air conditioning in the younger cabins. We survived, but it could have been better as far as that is concerned.
Advice
If or when you decide to be a camp counselor, remember that you will be working with an age group for about 10 weeks! You have to really be into it. It's not for everyone. Just get your feet wet before you make such a big step.

What I liked
We had great support from the camp directors and program directors. The gospel of Jesus Christ was proclaimed. I made great friends on staff and the setting is stunning.
What I wish was different
I wish I got more sleep at some points, but it was worth it.
