Camp Lakey Gap's philosophy is far ahead of anything I've encountered with this population. You will be challenged personally and professionally and end the summer with tremendous growth and competency. There is consistent, collaborative support throughout the placement to develop your skills in areas special to you. I would recommend this placement to anyone looking to work in education, counseling, or human services fields.

Camp Counselor

What I liked
Working at this camp was genuinely life changing for me. The support and appreciation I felt while working here helped me get through any of the rough days. The campers are people that will always be in your memory. The staff are genuine people who love the work they do and it shows so clearly.
What I wish was different
I wish I could get better pay as a counselor.
Advice
My piece of advice, is if you are considering working for this camp, go for it. I would be there everyday at camp if I could. You will not regret working here.
