Camp Dickenson

Logistics Coordinator

May 2017 • Fries, VA

What I liked

It was a fantastic job that gave me a lot of leadership and managerial experience. I learned how to better lead groups of people as well as how to organize tasks in order to accomplish a goal.

What I wish was different

I wish that I had gotten paid a tad more. I dedicated a lot of time to my work and the people around me. However, I wasn't there for the money in the first place, I was there to serve others.

I think everyone should at least try working at a summer camp at least one time in their lives before they start their career. Summer camps give lots of leadership experience, as well as how to work well with groups of people, large and small. Summer Camp is also a very good way to get connected with others who have a similar mindset as you, and who have the same passions as you.
