The fact that I get to work with people who have the same mindset and same aspirations when working with children
What I wish was different
Advice
To loosen up a bit, especially when you’re working with kids. Definitely set boundaries and limits, but also have fun!

What I liked
Camp Blodgett gives off a welcoming and vibrant energy to the campers and the staff. What I liked most was that everyone had the same goal as I did: to make summer as fun as possible for the kids. I also liked leading workshops for them and assisting them with their needs.
What I wish was different
I wish we could have had more staff since we were actually low on staff. This made it harder in order to run events for the campers.
Advice
This job takes a lot of patience, so don't just do it to "build your resume". Be present with the campers and remember that you're doing this for them. FTK= For the Kids.

What I liked
I loved my job, I loved organizing and preparing things, I liked doing random tasks that were necessary to keep the camp running.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more projects to do so I could have been busier.
Advice
I would say, prepare to sit and do tedious tasks that have a high reward. I usually had one headphone in listening to a book or music so I wasn't too bored but also able to listen for the phone or door.
