What I liked

I love that I only worked cases that I personally felt comfortable with. Of course working with someone new created discomfort, but I did not have to take on cases that caused extreme anxiety. I got to decide which cases I would work with, and luckily, everyone I worked with was absolutely amazing!

What I wish was different

I wish I met more of the administrative people rather than receiving phonecalls from someone different every week about cases that requested for me.

Advice

Go into respite care with an open mind and open heart. It is such an amazing opportunity if you are eager to learn and socialize with new members of the neurodiverse community.
