The co-op provided challenging projects that were applicable to the current business decisions of the company. You are a part of the team here, not just an intern! The company is very small but that allows the co-op position to morph into something very versatile as there is opportunity to help out in almost every department.
What I wish was different
The small company structure also leads to unique, dramatic interactions between coworkers than can be distracting, but is overall good experience for a student trying to decide the kind of work environment they work best in. The company also does not have a set introduction or training program for its intern so the first few weeks are severely transitional.
