Meeting students and making friends, learning about all the projects they were working on, and learning technical skills in the lab.
What I wish was different
More work because Federal Work Study is severely underfunded this semester and I don’t know if I will be able to work in the spring.
Advice
Take advantage of all the hands-on training in high tech processes, and make friends and network while you can.

What I liked
I enjoyed the team work with my supervisor. He explains me everything with patience and is very flexible with the completion of work.
What I wish was different
If it was a summer in person internship, it would have been great. Summer time is usually full of work. Last year I had offline work experience and it was very enlightening. If it had been the same this year, it would have been great.
Advice
Don’t stop if there is an obstacle on the way. Don’t give up. I remember when I started looking for a Jon on campus, I was very overwhelmed. I interviewed at many places and got a job at a few places but I wanted to work for IT on campus. One fine day, I was traveling to school and in the morning I came across a Facebook CSUEB page and found someone post of my current job description with the email of my supervisor. I quickly went to school and emailed him my resume and got an interview with him. He selected me and saw my dedication to the team and the work that was assigned to me. Since then, I have firmly believed that one should never give up. Don’t be overwhelmed. Obstacles come in the way but you need to have courage to perform and succeed.
