Undergraduate Clerk for Community Equity Initiative
July - August 2018 • Modesto, CA
What I liked
The small office was very easy to become a part of. Since it is so small, you know what everyone is working on and have the ability to ask to work on many different projects, if you're not already given them. The Community Equity Initiative is a great way to get involved with the local community while pursuing ongoing projects.
What I wish was different
I wish I had been more upfront about projects I would like to work on and took that step of communicating earlier.
Advice
It is good to understand what you want out of this experience and communicate clearly with your potential supervisor. Ask about the projects and make sure they align with these goals.
