Cal Poly Pomona - Office of New Student Programs & Family Engagement

Orientation Leader

March - August 2018 • Pomona, CA

What I liked

I really enjoyed making new friends and also being able to use what I have learned to help other students. In my own experience as a transfer student, it was a little rocky but having someone to turn to was so incredibly helpful.

What I wish was different

Semester conversion was rough, I wish we had more time with the students to really go in more depth about what they need to know.

Advice

Be flexible, be creatively, be a motivator, and take initiative!
