I liked helping students improve their writing and get better grades! Also, all of my coworkers and the staff are always responsive and ready to help each other. A great work environment!
What I wish was different
I wish there had been more hours available to work.

What I liked
It's on campus, very convenient. They close at 7, so you're never working later than that. You can study on the clock during finals week. Free food sometimes.
What I wish was different
For awhile, this was a decent job. Around the end of last year, conflict with management there started getting very sneaky and suspicious. Upon these conflicts arising, I noticed that I was being watched, singled out in meetings and treated differently. The following semester, I was allocated 0 hours for the semester, while two new clericals were hired and provided hours (it's worth mentioning that I turned in my availability sheet late however, I had been working there for over a year at this point and these new clerical hadn't even been hired yet) When I brought this to my managers attention, she shortly responded, "There were no hours. I'll let you know if some become available." I say all of this to say, if you choose to work here, make sure you have another job in your back pocket, just as I did.
Advice
Have a second job in your back pocket just in case. Pay close attention to patterns, breaches in patterns and microaggressions if you're a person of color like myself.

What I liked
I liked how flexible my hours were since I had no classes. Also, I was able to work more hours.
What I wish was different
I wish I could have parked closer to school. I parked off campus to save money on a parking permit.
Advice
It’s worth working on campus over the summer to save money for the upcoming school year.
