It was an active job requiring no prior knowledge about woodworking. I was in the finishing department and mostly sanded cabinets all day. They rotated jobs every two hours so you would get a break and do something at least slightly different. Sometimes monotonous, but relatively easy work.
What I wish was different
It was a loud environment which made on-the-job training a bit difficult. Lots of hand signals. It would be nice if they had more written/video tutorials.
Advice
Ask a lot of questions when you have a chance. You will have to shout, but it's better to ask than to stand around feeling dumb.
