C2Dx, Inc.

Sales & Marketing Intern

January - April 2024 • Schoolcraft, MI

What I liked

I enjoyed learning more about the medical device community as well as getting mentorship from industry professionals. I enjoyed learning about different ways to create engaging content. I was able to gain a ton of marketing skills and I liked collaborating across teams to receive feedback.

What I wish was different

It is hard to come up with something, but I wish there was more opportunities to shadow colleagues and sit in on meetings. A lot of the internship had to do with content creation, and I wish there were more occasions where I could see how my work performed on the back end of things.

Advice

Make the best out of your experience. Everyone at C2Dx is open to answer any questions and it is a great place to learn and enhance your skills.

What I liked

I really enjoyed my experience at C2Dx. This was my first ever professional job experience and I couldn't have asked for a better company to have it with. With being a start up company I was able to work directly with everybody in the organization. From CFO, CEO, head of engineering, etc. Everyone had multiple years in the medical device industry and they were very helpful in using their experience to teach me how to be successful in the medical device industry. The small company really gave me an opportunity to see how multiple facets of a company operate.

What I wish was different

There really isn't anything specific I would have changed about my internship experience. If there was one thing I would have liked to do that I didn't get the chance too, it would have been the opportunity to go to a hospital for a demo of our product. Observing an inservice would have been a cool experience.

Advice

No matter where you get an internship make sure to apply yourself. Create relationships with coworkers, speak freely about your ideas to the company. The biggest thing I learned is that in a company they don't care where the ideas come from, they are receptive to all thoughts and opinions from the CEO to the summer intern. Show the company that you are invested in what they are trying to accomplish.
