What I liked
I loved working with the kids, getting to know them, and watching them reach their goals over the summer. I made a lot of positive connections with the children and their families. It was an amazing opportunity to set up a goal oriented season for the kids.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have gotten to spend more time with the kids. There were so many kids who were developing new skills and if we were able to practice more the kid’s could have had a chance to reach even more of their goals.
Advice
Working at a country club requires specific rules, expectation, and dress codes then other summer jobs. It is a professional setting even though I worked at the pool for a summer job. You make a lot of connections with people you might not have might other ways.
