Burlington Township is a suburban district consisting of 14.7 square miles and completely surrounding the city of Burlington on the Delaware River. This integrated community has approximately 20,000 people living in a variety of individual homes, apartments, and farms. Located west of the New Jersey Turnpike and Interstate 295, Burlington Township is only ¾ hour by car to Philadelphia and 1½ hours by bus to New York City. Burlington Center, a large regional shopping mall, operates within the Township.
